About us
A family business, led by Jose
Jose has been painting since 2018 and founded Guaras Painting Inc. in 2023. It's a family-run company: Jose leads the work, and the family handles estimates, scheduling and updates, so you always know what's happening and when.
Why "Guaras"? The name comes from the guara, the colorful macaw Jose remembers from his childhood. That's the bird perched on top of our logo.

Common questions
Are estimates really free?
Yes. We come out, look at the job with you and send a written quote at no cost. Sending a few photos ahead of time helps us price it faster.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Guaras Painting Inc. is licensed (CA License #1109998), bonded and insured. You can look up our license on the CSLB website.
How does payment work?
We ask for a 10% deposit to get you on the schedule. The remaining balance is due when the job is complete and we've done the final walkthrough together.
What paint do you use?
Premium lines from Sherwin-Williams, like Emerald and Duration, and PPG. Your written agreement names the exact product for your job.
Do you wash the house before painting the outside?
Yes. On exterior repaints we pressure wash first and let the house dry fully, usually 4–5 days, so the new paint bonds properly and doesn't bubble or peel.
Will you help me pick colors?
Yes. We're happy to talk through colors during the walkthrough and help you narrow it down.
